Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Orca Studio ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the imboss desktop application and this website (the "Services").
Local data
imboss is a local-first desktop application. Everything it creates — database, avatars, agent environment, sessions and mini apps — is stored in a single folder in your home directory (~/.imboss) on your own device. We do not operate a cloud account for imboss and do not collect or access this local data.
API keys
API keys you enter for model providers are stored locally on your device with restrictive file permissions. They are not transmitted to us.
Third-party services
When you use imboss, the content you submit may be sent to the model providers you configure (for example, to generate responses), and messages may be relayed through the messaging platforms you connect. Those third parties process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them.
Messaging integrations
If you bridge imboss to WeChat, QQ or Telegram, messages from whitelisted owner accounts are treated as your instructions; inbound images and files are imported into your local chat.
This website
This website is a static promotional site. Downloads are provided through GitHub Releases and are subject to GitHub's own terms and privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
Because data is stored locally, you control retention. Deleting the ~/.imboss folder removes the data.
Children
These Services are not directed to children under 18 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the updated version here.
